DISCOVER WOODSTOCK
There are plenty of hidden gems to discover for those visiting Woodstock. From an age old village to royal walks around the palace gardens, there's something for everyone to do without having to spend a penny. We've got your itinerary covered below with some of our favourite stops so that you don't run shy of anything to do while you stay with us!
For even more hidden gems around the village please ask one of our team and they'll be happy to point out some great treks for you to go on!

BLENHEIM PARK CIRCUIT
Up first we have the Blenheim Park Circuit. A magnificent walk around the royal grounds where you can start a picnic on a hot summers day next to the Blenheim Grand Bridge. You'll also get some great shots for the social media at the Column Of Victory and take in the lake views and abundance of wildlife. From there we suggest heading over to to the palace itself to see if you can find any royal jewels!

HARRY POTTER TREE
There are plenty of ancient trees scattered around the grounds of Blenheim, however, none more so famous as The Harry Potter tree! It's said to be over 300 years old and was featured in the Order Of The Phoenix during Professor Snapes flashback scene with Lily Potter. What makes it so special is the gaping hole in its trunk,
which formed completely naturally!

FIND ANTIQUES IN THE WOODSTOCK VILLAGE SHOPS
Scattered around our sleepy town you'll find numerous antique shops, just waiting to be explored. Forget taking home tacky trinkets from your time away and purchase something really worth while that you can show off on your mantle! Ask one of our bartenders for the best place to go to find a real steal!

TAKE A BREAK IN THE SQUARE
Grab yourself some ice cream and head over to one of the many benches located in the Woodstock village square. Surrounded by history you can chill out with some home-made ice cream and take it all in while the sun sets (or rises!) and then head back to the Woodstock Arms for some proper pub food and beer!

STOP OFF AT CASTLE COMBE VILLAGE
At the other end of your exciting Blenheim Palace walk you'll come across the beautiful little village of Castle Combe. You'll feel like you've taken a step back a couple hundred years as this country escape stays frozen in time. Walk the steeped streets and take in the fresh country air before heading back through the Blenheim grounds at dusk, where you'll see an array of night time wildlife!

HAVE A WILD ADVENTURE
Lions, tigers and bears.. Oh my! Okay, it may not be free of charge, but we had to put Cotswold Wildlife Park on the list. If you're visiting Woodstock you simply must go and say hi to the rhinos outside the park manor! Here you'll find an astonishing array of exotic wildlife and even a walk-through bat cave! You'll also get a glimpse of a pride of lions and some of some of the only captive red pandas in the world!
